Lest we lose sight of Lost Cause and neo-Confederate ideology, I highly recommend taking a few minutes of your time and read the excellent and though-provoking post on Rea Redd’s blog today. Both Rea and David Blight nail it.

An excellent article. We have family in Texas, conservative Republicans all, who have no, repeat no intention of voting for Perry. That is good enough for me!

*sigh* Would have been nice to know it was just another political piece trying to equate the republicans and tea party with the neo-confederate idiots. I come here to read about the Civil War not some college professor’s opinion on politics (big surprise as to what it was,..not). Guess I’ll just … move on.

It’s a free world, Mr. Bunn. It’s entirely your choice whether you come back, but your threats of leaving will have no impact on what I believe is appropriate content to be posted on MY blog. And it is, after all, my blog…..

Interesting blog entry by Rea Redd. I found it most interesting considering that he talked about what I’ve been running into on Facebook. I just wish some of the folks on Facebook would actually discuss things but once they find out you’re a “Damn Yankee” , in their eyes you don’t belong in Dixie. Good thing this is free country and I can live where I want to. I don’t plan on moving again so I guess they’re stuck with me.
