I’ve been invited, and have accepted that invitation, to be the keynote speaker for the Saturday, March 26, 2011 Harrisburg Area Community College seminar at HACC’S Gettysburg Campus. Here’s some information on the program. I will be delivering the primary talk that morning and then leading a battlefield tour that afternoon.
Saturday, March 26, 2011 also happens to be my fiftieth birthday, and I cannot imagine a better way of spending my entry into a new age bracket and eligibility to join AARP than in my very favorite place doing what I enjoy most in the world. I hope that some of you will be able to join me in my celebration that day.

Mr. Urban,
Goodbye to you. You don’t get to insult me on my own website.
Eric
What part of you don’t get to insult me on my own website don’t you understand, Mr. Urban? I should think that would be rather clear, but you evidently don’t understand clear English.
Mr. Urban,
You just don’t get it, do you?
Were you to read this blog with any regularity, you would know that I have only a small handful of rules for people leaving comments here. One is that I don’t allow anonymous posts. The other is that I don’t permit people to insult me on a web site that I pay for. You may not like that–and frankly, I couldn’t possibly care less whether you do or don’t–but it’s always been the rule here.
Act like a decent human being and obey MY rules–it is MY website after all–and you will be treated like a decent human being. Otherwise, your comments will continue to be deleted, and as soon as I figure out how to block your e-mail address entirely, you will be barred from even visiting the site.
Like I said, whether you like my rules or not is wholly and entirely irrelevant to me. I pay for this site, so I get to make the rules. When you pay for your own website, you can make your own rules. Until then, sorry about your luck. Get over it.
