I apologize for being quiet the past couple of days. I’ve been busy finishing a couple of pieces on the Philadelphia Phillies for the baseball project. I’m just having a blast working on this project.

Major hat tip to Drew Wagenhoffer for bringing the existence of this blog to my attention. The good folks from Civil War Interactive have started running news items in a blog format. I highly recommend it, and I have added it to the blog roll.

Since he’s taking an indefinite sabbatical from blogging, I have also removed the link to Paul Taylor’s blog. If he starts blogging again, I will immediately add a link back in.

Their news blog has been my morning newspaper for three years. Great site!

It doesn’t appear to be working, however. The blog format site is stuck on Dec. 3, and no updates have appeared on my reader, yet there are many more news stories on the “old” CWi news page:

    Hmmm

    Hi folks,

Yikes! First Eric, thanks for noticing (and you too Drew). Just want to explain that the reason the Newswire appears stuck is because it’s not really officially “open” yet. We will be stopping all updates on CWi for our usual holiday shutdown within a few days.

When we re-open on Jan. 5, we will be premiering the official opening of the Newswire and other new features. We decided to start doing the news in a blog format so readers can have some input. Right now I’m just trying to learn Word Press and be ready for the opening. So on Jan. 5th, we hope all of you will flock there! Thanks again….
