Sorry I’ve been quiet. I’ve been blasting through the page galleys of my new book, which is just about ready to go to the printer. I finished them tonight, and expect to resume ranting tomorrow night, after watching the sorry Columbus Blue Jackets lose again.

Hey Eric,
if it makes you feel any better, after 25 years or so of making the playoffs, the Blues aren’t much better than the Blue Jackets this year. I fell asleep last night in the third period of a tied game…and sure enough they lost in overtime.

Yeah, the Blues are the Cubs of Hockey, and the Red Wings are the Cardinals… (or the Yankees for you American League fans). I’ve endured many a beating by the Wings. Blues fans have a complex over it. Can you blame us? 😉

I watched them slap us around 6-0 last Saturday night at the game, and then 6-2 on Monday night on TV. That was enough of the Red Wings to last me a while. 🙂

I watched the “Jackets” play the Oilers a couple of nights back. The power play killed us.
