Thank you and again your talk tonight (10/28/2010) was excellent and as I told you your Book on Reteat from Gettysburg ONE CONTINUOUS FIGHT is superb and one of my top favorite 10 Civil War book. The detail was fascinating and being from Hagerstown all my life basically, it’s the human interest stories and details that I love to know. Great job again.

William C. Oates, I was under the impression that Oates had, in fact, not seen Farnsworth die, but had instead relied upon a description of one of his men. Presumably, despite not having seen Farnsworth actually fall, Oates was later on shown the body.
