Almost ten years ago, she and Dad put in a propane generator for backup emergency power for the house. While it’s been used for occasional storm outages, this time it has been a true godsend. Mom has extension cords run to the neighbors to keep their refrigerators going.
I think it’s hard for a lot of people to come to grips with a storm that didn’t have rain, but it’s not the rain from Ike that caused the devestation.
