]]>In any case, she was not exactly calling for a pogrom and the whole Nazi thing is a bit much. She was saying (however indelicately) nothing more than that Christianity sees itself as the fulfillment of the Jewish promise. And it does. It always has. That’s the very point of Christianity. There’s nothing – absolutely nothing – anti-Semitic about that.
For the record, I’ve always believed that, were I not a Catholic, I’d have to be a Jew. Absent the fullness of Christianity (which, IMO, is Catholicism), there’s no place to go but back to the source of the promise.
