]]>Just wanted to let you know she also wrote an article in the December 2004 Civil War History journal titled “We Should Grow Too Fond of It”: Why We Love the Civil War.” which has the following abstract “This article focuses on the debate regarding General Robert E. Lee’s quote from the Battle of Fredericksburg during the American Civil War. There is a discussion regarding the morbid curiosities of civilians in the aftermath of the battles of Antietam and Gettysburg, the reasons why historians write more on the Civil War than any other event in the history of the U.S., and solutions to international disputes.”
