]]>Deb and I spent a wonderful winter vacation at the Hotel Jerome, and while drinking wine in the heated outdoor pool on a cold December night, I never paused to reflect–because I didn’t know–that this beautiful property was established by a trooper who fought at Brandy Station.
My opinion of Jerome Wheeler is not in the least diminished by his postwar troubles. We all go through phases in our individual lives and Wheeler’s courageous wartime service stands on its on merits.
Honor to Jerome Wheeler! And thanks to you for this wonderful introduction to his fascinating career.
