]]>I read an amazing story the other day about how if JFK had lived, he and Barry Goldwater had made plans to tour the country and debate each other in a civilized, gentlemanly fashion all across the country. Though both men had little to agree on politically, they apparently liked and respected each other enough on a personal level to carry out such a plan. How refreshing! Alas, I cannot even begin to see that happening today.
