You can see where his heart is. I’m guessing it wouldn’t go for $1 million on the open market, though he’s breaking it into pieces to try to extract the maximum profit and screw preservationists. It almost makes me wish the government could just seize it from him. I wonder what he paid for the land and how much profit he’s trying to extract in a flat-lined economy?

It seems a bit pricey to me though. I own 57 acres within 2 miles of this location. Much less house, a very nice barn, no highway frontage. $700K would be a more than fair price for mine. I hope that an effort will be made to purchase this, and that the landowner will be a bit more realistic on price.
