As a Yankee fan, you must be tickled with the larceny that pried Bobby Abreu away from the Phillies for four extremely mediocre minor league prospects. I always really liked Abreu. Now, as a Yankee, I am required to hate his guts. Sad.

Glad you had a great trip. However, your account made me sin by breaking the tenth commandment, “Thou shalt not covet”. Sounds like you had a great time, even if it was unbearably hot (how can we talk about predicting a global warming in the future when the weather man cannot predict the weather three days from today?). It sounds like Ohio is now as warm as Texas!

I really look forward to seeing the pictures of your trip when you post them. Did you get one Douglas Southall Freeman’s grave?

As I told you today, I’m in the process of repainting and completely reorganizing the office here. The front office is all finished, and Wednesday I start mine… that’s the biggest part of the job, but I can’t wait to see it finished. It’s sort of like being in a new place too.
