By a letter from an officer of the 15th W. Va. Regiment, at Cabell
Court House, to a member of the House of Delegates here, under date
of the 19th inst., the capture of the notorious rebel, Colonel J. M.
Ferguson and about twenty of his men, is fully confirmed. It was
achieved by Colonel Gallop, on the 15th inst.,”
I am probably the 2nd worse on genealogy that pecked on a computer; now I find a Col Milton Jameson Ferguson appears to have the same war experiences as my J M Ferguson.
