It doesn’t state that he was one. Of course it doesn’t speak well of the reenactor about his choice of friends.
BTW the majority of reenactors I’ve seen are safety conscious and don’t do stupid things like this.

Now those folks boys and girls are reenactors!
Yet, be careful not to paint those of us in the living history community into a corner with the reenactor crowd . There is a huge difference.

One day, they were trying to shoot a new flintlock rifle they had bought for the primitive Pennsylvania hunting season. They couldn’t get the flint to ignite the powder in the flash pan to then shoot the rifle. One got the bright idea to hold his cigarette lighter and put the flame in the flash hole, while the other guy held the rifle up and pointed it at the target.

As I watched these two geniuses, I felt like getting my phone, dialing 911, and telling the operator, “Uh, could you stand by for a moment?”

The guy with the light got a couple burnt fingers, and the fellow holding the rifle got the sh*t scared out of him.

Morons.
