The staff explained that they weren’t sure what was going to happen to the map, so I am glad to hear that if may have a future!

Currently, IMHO, it’s still the best that’s out there. I have not yet been in the new VC, so I could be wrong, but I’m not certain there is anything around here that gives the visual impact that map does.

I thought the electric map was crude the first time I saw it in 1969. But it helped me grasp the idea of the troop movements and established positions. I wondered for a long time if I was the only person who required such imagery to understand the battle.

I missed the map last fall when I was there, and welcome the prospect of it returning
