If you will indulge me in a little shameless self-promotion for a moment….

I’m pleased to announce the release of Plenty of Blame to Go Around: Jeb Stuart’s Controversial Ride to Gettysburg, published by Savas-Beatie Publishing, and written by J. D. Petruzzi and me. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s out. When I got home from work tonight, there were sufficient boxes on my side porch for a couple of hundred copies. If I’ve got them, that means that the orders received by Amazon, Savas-Beatie, etc., are ready to be filled.

J. D. and I are also proud to announce the launch of our new web site, devoted to this book. Please visit.

It’s still a thrill every time that I see one of my books for the first time, and I’m especially proud of this one.

    Eric,

Congratulations! From my one meager experience in publishing a book, a paltry sum compared to yours, I know what a kick it is to open the box and hold the end product after years of work. Saw your message about the aborted JEB weekend-sorry those guys won’t fork up the money for rooms for you two, especially since that area isn’t exactly expensive, but understand.

Best wishes on rapid sales! Looking forward to reading it.

Thanks, guys! Yes, this one was a long time in coming due to delays that were out of our hands, so I’m really glad to see it.

My boxes ought to be arriving today – we’re all waiting here anxiously. A couple months ago (before the last delay kicked in – printer didn’t have the right paper in stock) I received the paperback galley version of the book. So, I’ve been able to see it like that, although that’s far different from the final hardcover piece (and it didn’t have the index in it yet).

Sometime today, it’s going to be like Christmas around here. And I’ve given myself permission to drink copious amounts of champagne anytime before 5:00 pm ๐Ÿ™‚

    Congrats boys!

There’s nothing better than a package w/ your name on it – filled with books with your name on it.

Now, get started on the sequel…

    J.D.

Hope they arrive soon so you don’t have a long day of waiting. Keep a camera handy for some photos of the opening of the boxes. Enjoy and congrats again to both of you.

Thanks guys! Actually, my wife is here at the office (it’s just after noon) as we wait. And wait. She brought the camera, we have the champagne on ice, glasses chilled, and now all we need is BOOKS!

UPS must be on a late run. Or so I hope!

The books arrived about 1:30, the champagned flowed, and a good time was had by all! The book looks fabulous.

It is absolutely wonderful to finally hold it in my hands – and I truly hope the folks here picking up a copy enjoy it.

    Eric,

I just wanted to let you know I picked up J.D. and your book. I’ve got a few in front of it I want to finish up, but I look forward to reading it.

Also, for additional good news, I was at my local Borders by my work and they had a copy of Plenty of Blame on the shelf. I though you’d be interested as it was the first book by you I have seen them stock.

Finally, I was looking through my bookshelf and realized I actually have another book by you, Protetecting The Flanks. I’m pretty sure I got it is a “gift” from the CWPT when I made a donation. I’ll have to move that one up in the queue as well. Oh to be a millionaire, not have to work and just be able to have endless time to follow my hobby!

    Mike,

That’s excellent news, and I hope you enjoy it.

And I certainly understand about the books. You should see the pile on the floor of my library. ๐Ÿ™‚
